Our History - A Short Overview

• BPS is the oldest and largest club for parrot amateurs in Belgium.  
• In the mean time, BPS already exists for 32 years.  The monthly magazine was already then put together by a few council members.  Even today, "Parkieten Revue" is still the worrk of a number of volunteers.  That's why it is especially appreciated if there are people willing to contribute to the contents of our magazine.  An article about breeding results, or about a visit to a bird park, or even some pictures of your birds (not copyright protected!), every contribution counts.  Don't be afraid if you don't think of yourself as a good writer - if we get a story, we can edit it so it can be published.  
• One of the founding members of BPS is still actively involved in our club. 
• In the last decennium, we doubled the distribution numbers of our magazine .  The number of pages was increased to 40 and we started to insert color pictures. 
• BPS has several regional sections, each running their own operation, with regular (monthly) meetings, regular sales shows, and every once in a while a trip to visit a bird park or a well-known international show.  BPS Brabant also traditionally organizes a show every year.  On this show you can find detailed information elsewhere on this site.
• Since 1997 BPS has its own website.  This is the third version of this website.
